The course is now listed on TERMS and you may begin the process to get registered. The course will be held in Caldwell County on March 25, 26 and 27 at the Caldwell County EOC. Virginia Enzor and Marv Hoffman will be the instructors.
Seating is limited so you are advised to get registered for this course as there may not be another AuxComm course until late Fall.
Each applicant will be wait-listed until all documentation and local EM affiliation is completed.
Be advised that there is a limitation on funding which will affect how many persons can be selected who have to travel more than 50 miles from home.
a. Please remember that the current versions of the FEMA ICS courses are required prerequisites including 100c, 200c, 700b and 800d and certificates for the courses will be required to get registered for the AuxComm course. Use your time now to update your ICS courses if necessary.
b. Also, remember that an endorsement from local Emergency Management will be required prior to registration.
c. Possession of a valid amateur radio license, a copy of which must be submitted.
In the weeks following the course, there are several exercises planned with opportunities to work on Task Books by those who have completed the course. Continue to pay attention to listing in TERMS for Exercises.
