FCC Exams go Paperless

FARC has a team of Volunteer Examiners (VE’s) that test candidates every month for Technician, General, and Amateur Extra licenses.

In the past, three of the Volunteer Examiners grade every test. At times, more groups of 3 VE’s are needed (we have 8+Volunteer Examiners)
Dale WB9SZL is the liaison to the FCC with Mike W4MAV as his backup. They submit all the graded tests to the FCC.
The legal body that coordinates the tests is W4VEC out of China Grove, NC. That group has moved to paperless testing which will require FARC to have 6 or more tablets, cases and software, which are customized and will be used exclusively by the FARC VE Testing team. These tablets will be used by the candidates to take their tests and also by the VE team to approve the results.
