Remote Hams

One of the benefits of your FARC membership is the right to use our station resources remotely through Remote Hams (RH). RH is a free software program that allows licensed hams to log into remote stations and operate within their license privileges
FARC has provided that service from our former location and we are ready to roll it out from our new shack. Basically, you get a user ID (your callsign) and password from remotehams.com and then download a program to either a Windows computer or Android phone (sorry, no iPhones). Then you just login and see a list of stations available. Most stations are restricted to friends or club members but some are open, at least for listening. For our station, you must be a club member in good standing. Currently, our station is available on 40, 20, 15 and 10 meters. Transmissions are limited to SSB but if there is interest, we can explore CW and Digital operations
